[quote="slow_matt"]Hey mate, what are you doing about de-misting the windscreen as it looks like you've removed the heater system?

I'm going down the route of a heated windscreen but that

A lot more work went into the Silvia today again, its hard pulling spanners on your own car when you have to do it for a living all week long but i think it will be worth it in the end.

The aim of this car is maximum fun with the absolute minimum of cost.

Today was turbo swap day!!

Removed the manifold, turbo, turbo elbow and exhaust. It sounds easy saying it like that but getting to the bottom manifold bolts was a complete nightmare!!!

I then decided to do a bit of basic porting on the manifold while it was off the car, just a case of getting rid of coked up crap in it and rounding off the rough edges.

Next i began to swap the oil lines and bits and pieces across to the S13 turbo, a lot of the parts are different so i am now a bit stuck and will be searching for the different bits i need to rig the turbo up if anyone can help???

Anyway here is the set up with the new elbow on;

Look at the size difference;

Next steps is an intercooler set up and a nice side exit exhaust.

I think we need the tappered fitting with the air nipple from the compressor side to the actuator
Oil return curved pipe
Compressor side air outlet elbow (round pipe with a triangular flange)

By the way, we still owe you for the four S13 wheels and the return of your steering boss. Do you need these urgantly?

As Ian said, taking off the manifold is a whole world of pain. The rear bottom bolt is an absolute joke to remove.

Mmmmmmm

Theres just not enough conversations with "Air nipple" in them these days !! :D :D

Sorry Nik,

Back on topic, it looks like its coming together nicely - you could ring Bob at GBH 01206 273500 to ask about the turbo fitting as thats what he runs on his S12 track car i think.

Hope that helps,

J.

Just could not think what else to call it - I must admit that I felt awkward just typing the word!
