Glad the trip went well and (for you) relatively few hiccups.
Must be nice to start getting some decents miles under its belt.
Bit surprised at the MPG though, it can't be working too hard at 70 surely?
Bet you shit yourself down Stu's track did nt you?

I could hear the car about 5 minutes before they pulled on to the drive :D They were shaken and stirred as they clambered out!

Spot on Stu, Gordon had mapped the car to 21psi but before we collected it he turned the boost down to 16psi and set it slightly rich. Will be going back to Gordon's before our track day for an oil change, re-map and hopefully a few other bits, then it should be running, hopefully in the high 300s.

After that we will discuss with Gordon as to what we should do next, injectors, cams etc to hopefully get us over 400........We'll just take it step by step and enjoy the journey:driving:

done a bit of work to the car today ready for bedford but not got to much done as it started to rain

changed the front brake pads for mintex racing pads, the old ones when
we took them off looked like they were at the point of cracking in some
places and were smooth as hell.

while i was doing the brakes and a oil change on the car paul worked on
the spare undertray we have, using the one that was allready on the car
used it as a template he cut it to the same size.
them fitted some brake ducts to direct air upto the brakes for cooling.

we didnt manage to fit it to the car due to it raining.

we were also going to fit this but again rain stopped us.
it gold heat barrier sheeting to go onto the bonnet as the turbo sits
so close to it we dont want paint coming off lol

done some work on car today, i had to sort out the wiring for oil temp and oil pressure gauges manged to sort temp out but it seems the pressure gauge is faulty so going to have to get another one.

fitted the undertray to the car and made up some new mounting brackets
for it. think these ducts will help get a air flow to the brakes.
Image

set about sorting out the wiring loom and ECU as it was just sitting in
the passinger footwell, thankfully it fit like a glove in were the old original
ford amplifier unit sat. i also fitted the lether gaiter.
Image

fitted the gold heat shielding to the underside of the bonnet amd also
raised it to allow more air to get out from under the bonnet.

yes lee it is a ford thing mate:sifone:

while under the car i noticed that something was not quite right with
the exhaust, a closer inspection shows that Mr Stapes drive way has
given our car a war wound :smilielol5:the yellow lines is where exhaust should be.

tryed to get bracket as straight as possable and ill get a new one next week
