Dan is also claiming that he's going to take the rear quarters out aswell as the rear screen, for no other reason than "it will look better" which is mildly concerning.

.
Sounds like he knows what he's doing although open panel surgery sounds a bit drastic but its better doing a whole panel than just patch repairs , it should be as good as left the factory .Pete

My bad, I meant rear quarter windows, or rear side windows. There was debate about changing the whole rear querters rather than repairing but I decided against it.

Cheers Pal, although I doubt my one is appreciating in value since I've thrown most of it away or modded it :frown:

Yeah, Syvecs now do a sensor that sits in the fuel line allowing you to run ethanol without the need for a different map. It basically monitors whats going through and adjusts accordingly so even if it's a mix up of E and normal motion lotion its no problem. Ryan reckons it should chuck another 150 or so gee gee's or so out with a full tank of ethanol

that'll be a new gearbox then :D

My thoughts exactly Malc ;) Although I'm yet to put in some laps with 1.7 bar so hopefully that should shave a bit of time

OK so some bodyshop updates. Finally managed to get up there on Friday although Dan has been leeping me posted via whatsapp - mainly moaning that he'd never have quoted so low had he relaised the previous owner Nemo! Although this is all banter I can't help feeling it's been more of a job than he thoughts.

So I'll start with the f*cking carbon bonnet which is turning out to be right ongoing saga. Long and short is it's now pretty much rubbed down but there was so much product on there its taken ages, and been done by hand so as to get it right back but not fuck the lacquer. Why all the product? Fuck only knows but it's become apparent that the last guy I used didn't take it right back. Even I can see that by the fact that inside of the vents in now a different shape since dan's dug out (or finger fucked in his words) all the product out.

Anyway, here it sits in all it's naked glory, ready to be painted.

And yes, I know I've changed my mind about this more times than a doris as to what frock to wear but it's def gonna be blue, unless perhaps it's bare carbon..., or blue, or...
