I removed the secondary airpump today as it was making a racket on start-up. I hear it is only there for emissions anyway. Thats a little more weight out of the front as well.

Also ordered some CSL discs (on the left of the pic compared to APs on the right) which are going to be matched with BMW performance 6 pot Brembos

After misshifting a few times due to drivetrain slop, I have decided to update the engine and gearbox mounts to vibratecnics. I think all of the mounts are the same ones its had since new so this should make a huge difference to shifting and throttle response.

Despite the shell being in the drive broken it still looks cool :)
Have seen yours at Doms and it is being pampered !!

Bit too many German cars in that drive now mate :D
To think I actually have the opposite with 2 x Jap cars !!

Im glad it went to dom as I know he will put the care and attention into it, it deserves. It's going to be an absolute beast when done.

If you had told me 2 years ago I'd own 2 bmws let alone any German car, I'd have laughed in your face. Tbh though mate, I love them both. They really know how to build a car!

Well today feels like Christmas! Just took delivery of Nitron coilovers, bmw performance Brembo 6 pot front brakes with csl discs and braided hoses and H&R front and rear antiroll bars and droplinks.

I usually build cars to a sensible budget as I don't like any kind of debt, which means I've never experienced top end kit before. Due to making a nice amount breaking my rx7 I had a bit left over after buying the car to splash out a bit.

These are the biggest brakes I've ever held by a long way! Surprisingly light for what they are as well so hopefully won't comprise unsprung weight too much.

Braides lines, custom mounts and longer abs sensor wiring

Nitron coilovers and eibach springs. Used but only 5k miles on them. These are super light and should shave some weight off for sure.

Image

H&R antiroll bars. These are hollow compared to the solid stock bars, so again should shave some Weight.

Getting all this fitted, setup and corner weighted at apt on Friday. Can't wait!

Nice kit. Nitrons are great. If you have any doubt on the mileage you could always send them back to Nitron for a service before hanging them on the bimmer. They do recommend regular services anyway

Thanks monster. They look ok to me, everything is free to turn by hand, nothing seized. I got them off the previous owner so have no reason to doubt him. Good to know they can be rebuilt though
