Heh its been a while since i updated this and as its suspiciously quiet this morning i'll mention my recent fights.

During Junes track evening i was a bit of a muppet, the car was missing on full boost and i later worked out that running 17psi instead of the recommened 15psi (i misremembered when setting up the profec) was maxing out the injectors and letting the car run a bit lean, the resultant heat (before i was bright enough to knock it down to low boost) caused the following:

Back box of exhaust collapsed and cracked.
Rear bumper melted because of above.
Hose to boost gauge/profec melted in final session.
Water return to turbo hose hardened and cracked failing a couple of weeks later.

Not bad work for not being able to count to 15. :banghead:

So with the summer holiday fast aproaching and the use of the diesel barge to get to work while the kids were off school i ordered up some parts and got to work.

Fast Eddy
Various Replacement hoses.
God its handy having a chap just round the corner from work with all the bits in need in stock!
Perfect.

Oh eBay your wonders to behold:

And we do this from our own free will:willy_nilly:

In the first year with our car we noticed that the inner sills were showing signs of starting to rust. We decided that we would deal with it over the winter. Big mistake...after a couple more events the inner sills had split along the seam, basically the car was undressing itself:blush5:

We need more pics .....

Argggghhhh! 1 trip to work in it and its broken again. A quick ying at lunch lead to it bottoming out on some of Norfolk's loverly roads, and the rear exhaust mounting bracket decided to part company with the chassis rail. Bollocks.

1.1 litre fiesta of doom for the trip to work in the morning. ho hum.

Man, that's harsh.
Can't you patch it up for Eddy to play with during your lunch break?

Oh i can fix it, stuck it on the ramp last night and had a look, a 6 inch bolt straight through the chassis leg and into the exhaust mount bracket will cure it, then a liberal dose of paint and were back in business.

Cured!

Whip this bit off:
<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/kV ... site"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_-RAjI05vHFw/SrKlp ... 009144.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/maff667/200 ... bsite">200 New Exhaust and Sill repair</a></td></tr></table>

Drill a hole through offending bit:
<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/-Z ... site"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_-RAjI05vHFw/SrKl9 ... 009147.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/maff667/200 ... bsite">200 New Exhaust and Sill repair</a></td></tr></table>

Put a bloody great bolt through it and the chasis:
<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/r7 ... site"><img src="http://lh3.ggpht.com/_-RAjI05vHFw/SrKl_ ... 009149.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/maff667/200 ... bsite">200 New Exhaust and Sill repair</a></td></tr></table>

Jobs a goodun:
<table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Io ... site"><img src="http://lh6.ggpht.com/_-RAjI05vHFw/SrKmB ... 009150.jpg" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="http://picasaweb.google.com/maff667/200 ... bsite">200 New Exhaust and Sill repair</a></td></tr></table>
