right thats the gasket sorted.. anything else i should change while im doing it??? head bolts need changing???

head bolts are fine to re-use

replace the dowel

i would also recomend re grinding the valves and replaceing valve stem seals as well

While the head is of check for trueness and another common problem is the exhaust stud threads strip from the head so check the threads if they are suspect then i would defo recomend helicoiling them

i would also change the cambelt i should imagine you knew that and didnt need reminding :grin:

the cambelt is rather new anyway as i checked before refitting due to the engine mount difference (820 engine) , it has a new oil filter fitted already only last weekend,

will sort the dowel out tho for defo....

you will need a new oil filter and oil because when you split the head you will always get some water get into the oil better to be safe then sorry :-D

;) doubt it as there is the water leak so no water left in the system... but will do to be safe.....

yep leaking from the pump somewhere... :( luckily i have the 820 one but couldnt undo the bolts to change the inlet pipe so fitted the old one.. :? will swap it around somehow....

Its the only things with them pumps once they leak eather replace or reseal :cry:
