replace the dowel
i would also recomend re grinding the valves and replaceing valve stem seals as well
While the head is of check for trueness and another common problem is the exhaust stud threads strip from the head so check the threads if they are suspect then i would defo recomend helicoiling them
i would also change the cambelt i should imagine you knew that and didnt need reminding
you will need a new oil filter and oil because when you split the head you will always get some water get into the oil better to be safe then sorry :-DSpec'C'57 wrote:the cambelt is rather new anyway as i checked before refitting due to the engine mount difference (820 engine) , it has a new oil filter fitted already only last weekend,
