went to the workshop this morning to do a few things but damn it was cold in there so didnt get much done

but aero has started :)

this is only a template made out of hardboard and a quick lick of matt black to see how it looks , just need to find a suitable material to make it out of now, carbon fibre is looking at costing about

Trev. how can you say your car is not up to the standard of the Berg Cup cars. This car is Berg Cup through and through. Love it:D

Did I miss the post where Trev did say this? :)

What's wrong with something like marine ply Trev? I know it might be a bit 'pikey' compared to CF but I am sure that it would be OK.......certainly worked OK on Betty when she was black and white.

That aside, I think that most composites will need to be pretty flexible given the ride height of this car and where the thing is going to get slung (i.e. out front and 25mm off of the gravel) Can you get anything in PU?

trouble is i want to keep it as light as possible as the rear end is going to be very light
plastic could be an option i suppose and cheap to replace but was planning to run this right under the engine to create a flat bottom

oh and my car is no where near berg cup standards :) but maybe just maybe one day
the dream is to take it over there for a round
be handy to speak german though :D

How about aluminium composite? It's almost impossible to destroy it (unlike carbon or plastic) plus it's real easy to trim and weighs next to nothing and is cheap.
