I don't want to piss on anyones chips, but has he explained why this has happened twice, well enough to satisfy your concerns it wont happen again?
I'm asking not to cause trouble, just out of concern for two chaps who've been up against it.
From a laymans perspective, I would have thought two failures either mean it's fucked or somethings going wrong?

The block was basically fooked from the inside. Had we not had the bores, bored out and honed then these failures would not have happened. Well not until we were runnung full boost and probably on track.
I was contemplating having the work to the new block done by someone else but Gordon has used this guy for quite a while with no problems. I actually inspected the bores after the work was done and there was nothing to say that there was a fault, i just think we were unlucky.

Well if that can be repeated and hold together long enough to punt around a track, which obviously it can, you guy are going to have so much fun
I take it there have been no developments at this time?

Alan has had to recharge his battery after all the work he has been doing so took a couple of weeks away from the car, plus he needed to do some work on his daily drive and i had to get mine mot'd.
The engine has been stripped down again and removed. The 200 block has now been refaced bored and honed to match our pistons. Next Friday Alan will be going over to Gordon's to start building the engine again. We really need to have it up and running by next weekend.
Once we get it back there are things that we still need to do, one of the first will be to get it weighed so we can see where we are. Then it's got to go to Ashley Competition Exhausts;)
Gordon has given Alan a set of alloys as a 'Thank You', for all his help and Alan has come up with a wicked paint scheme for them. Knowing Alan you guys will see them the same time I do:lurk5:. As he wont let me see them till there done and that wont be till the new year:banghead:.
Once up and running the car will be run on only Liqui-Moly oils and additives http://www.liquimoly.co.uk/ . More stickers for the car:hurray:
