well we have another problem :) over the last few days the clutch let up hasn't been too great. now and again it juders the car violently when either changing down from 3rd to 2nd or pulling away from stationary. Another problem is changing into 4th at high rpm, the clutch pedal becomes increadibly light and you don't realise that you've pressed it down until you hit the floor well and then the gearbox whines then crunches into gear :/ could this be an air lock in the clutch line?

Update: two days ago i didnt realise that my MOT ran out until i was going through some paperwork. :o so i booked it in for today and it failed on 3 items and had one advisory.

Failures;
One exhaust bracket broken away from welds, requires re welding
One strut roll bar bracket fractured, requires re welding
One registration plate bulb blown, requires replacement

Advisory;
Front nearside tyre worn on inside edge.

So considering that i knew about the exhaust and strut bracket being broken (went into a large pot hole) i cam away pretty chuffed :) so the jobs for this weekend are to remove and re tig the silencer bracket. Re mig the strut bracket, replace that bulb and when i have a re test, have two cheap tyres fitted. all in all it's not going to cost much to sort which is a relief (last MOT cost me

not bad mot result that dan! i'm with you with your opinion of getting rid of the old girl, i went through similar problems with my old jap box(mine was a lot worse then yours if it makes you feel better :) )

everytime i turned the key i was expecting another problem, it wore thin vry quickly which is why i got shot and went german ;)

Daniel sorry to here about the situation with the MR2 but cars do where you down eventually when constantly paying out on them. But it will be good to have another golf to come out and play.
