just a thought , regarding the water spray be careful as it maybe interpreted as you are losing fluid and may get a black flag.

Iy shouldn't be a problem as the system is driver controlled and not set on. No water should be able to get to the track as this was most important in the design. Below the intercooler sits the undertray, which was not on in that picture. Any water that drops will fall onto the undertray

you could fit spray nozzles from the garden irrigation kits. They should be cheap and are meant to be quite good...

You will need to run a high pressure pump and proper erl or similar nozzles to get the disired mist at around say 6bar pressure.
I wouldn't think the current water jet will make any differance except wet the track
I used to run 2 0.5mm erl nozzles with a flowjet high pressure pump -used to work ok as long as you keep the nozzles clean

Another idea is the front washer jets from a mk2b Fiat Punto ('53 plate- '05) as these spray in a fine mist rather than individual jets of water and should be very simple to mount and set-up.

Even then I don't think they're much to buy retail
