Look forward to seeing that one. Hop it's not going to sit in the boot though as it'll be no good for a wagon, other than by double sealing it.

well they asked for a 'contrasting tow eye' :)

Both the word "tow" and the actual eye itself must be painted in a contrasting colour and clearly visible.
I think dayglo pink counts as clearly visible :D

this is just the std front towing eye that has been sprayed :)

I am hoping for pictures through from Mike/Jase today to show the progress over the last few days as I know they were very busy bolting engine parts back together and fitting the front mount.

One of the mods done yesterday was to remove the TGV which the UK STis have but the JDM ones dont. It should help with flow rates into the engine and give a little more power 8) Not sure exactly what impact it will have but worth doing whilst it is all apart.

Tumble Generator Valve (TGV)
Genuine JDM intake manifold risers are a perfect fit and delete the 'TGV' flapper valves that can restrict the air flow into your engine. Called 'Tumble Generator Valves' by Subaru, these are common in many vehicles and are used to help emissions. ...by closing off a significant portion of your intake to 'tumble' the air at idle and low loads, emissions can be improved. At high loads these valves become restrictions.

Some people say that these are worth about 15 bhp at the top end, but who knows. Unfortunately I wont have true comparative data.

No Gerry - they are the std parts that you and I both have on our cars.

Not me. Mine's an old classic don't forget. At least if they are there, they're well hidden.

So is this the equivalent of an idle control valve?
