Why is it with builds its always 3 steps forward and 2 back ?!!!?

After receiving loads of parcels yesterday (and disguising to Emma that these were essential car parts to get my motor back on the road!) I set to work and sorted out a few more bits.

Bolted the downpipe in fine but then went underneath the car and the mid pipe is about half an inch to an inch away and the same higher up than where the downpipe sits.
Not that easy to see on this pic but you can see the height difference....

I'm not sure about this though because I have tried pulling the midpipe down but its fouling on a protective bracket. Will have a look at the sports cat tomorrow to see if thats different. But its something completely out of the blue that I didnt think I would have an issue with :(

Intake manifold is in and ok now though and have all the bits needed for the battery relocation install although where I'm gonna find space to thread 0AWG cable through I dont know. But am sure I will find somewhere.

Ah well, enough moaning.....its getting there.....slowly ! Just could do without anymore unforseen problems :(
