Cups are on and i have to say that after yesterdays trackday at Snetterton how have i lived without them in my life.........
I had an Oil change at APT and a new set of rear RS29's put in and the next day i headed down to meet the guys at BMSport in London for a Geo set up.
The cars Geo was way out and the handling has totally sharpened up. I will be back soon for some Eibach adjustable rear Camber arms and some Powerflex bushes on the front steering.
I also got the Tyresure tyre pressure sensors fitted inside the Cups and i can throughly recommend them. They were great on track and i could keep an eye on the tyre pressure and temp and come in when the tyres were getting a bit hot.
The day was good overall, it was hard to get a clear lap but after checking my incar video i had managed to drop my previous best of a low 1:22 to a few laps of low 1:21 and a best of 1:21 dead which i'm really happy with. I just have to get some bigger balls and finally turn the full traction control off as this is still hampering me in places.
I had a good few scraps with with Slarty and Richard in there M3. It was great to see Slarty back on track after a 8 month lay off and his driving was soon back up there. looking forward to seeing them both on track again soon.
I'm looking forward to the Bigpower evening and i'm praying for some dry weather. I'm quietly confident in the upcoming re-match with Mr Staples lol... game on.
Ad far a the car is concerned i think i can safely saying (yeah right) that it is just about the complete package now.
I refuse to strip it as it's my only car. The main thing now is to improve my driving and i will continue to do as much track time as possible.
One thing i am looking at is a decent data logger with the video incorporated into it. either the DL-1 or RaceLogics videobox.
