Its not the dirt which is the problem it is the stones, If you remove the flaps your front doors and cills will take a hammering from road debris, you can't wash stone chips off
Your choice Frayz.

of the car and as urs is black will show up more.

Okay guys ive taken heed,

Ive decided to order some brand new gloss black flaps. Although this time ive gone for the WRC spec "Kaylan" versions.

Not exactly cheap but much stronger and stiffer than the existing flapps,

Good decision frayz :thumb:

when I changed mine I thought it would be a good quick and easy job which it would have been if the nuts hadnt seized to the bolt on the front flaps and require cutting the bolt off :x

Why not have that film fitted on the bottom of the doors instead? ...

When my car is resprayed I will have the film fitted over all the forward facing angles.

You mean armourfend mate, I could do that but..

A) Its damn expensive
B) I have graphics which would need removing and then replacing, which is also damn expensive
C) Its expensive :D

Did i mention its expensive???? :D

Ha ha, cheers anyways guys, ive ordered these new ones now anyway so they should be alot better.

Also bought an oil cooler today as i decided it was about time i got one.

Got a hyperflow one coming equiped with thermostatic sandwich plate and all aeroquip fittings
