Does sound like a plan mate, you doing the work yourself?

Ive got a mate who had a rover coupe turbo and he'd done a few bits to that and it was rapid.. will try and find out his spec and see if hes still got any videos of it if i get a chance.

On the down side... the engine is leaking oil when cold.. :x once warm its fine.. Also gotta sort a water leak from the pump housing. Probably why it died first time around..
The engine came from a breakers in yorkshire, should i contact them or just change the head gasket?? TBH it will cost me the carriage as always to get it sorted so thinking to hell with it....

Anyway. Nope never swapped the sump over as didnt seem much different... :? will double check but dont think it has the oil cooler either..
Will look tonight as its still up on axle stands.

I still have the old engine so am tempted to build a good engine from that. maybe something for 300HP..

Also will see how the G/B is and maybe give you a shout... :D

Its a common fault with the T16 to leak oil from corner of the head :( if you do decide to replace the head gasket make sure you fit the klinger gasket

Was looking at the klinger set, but heard the head needs skimming to fit it.
Thought i would maybe swap it for an OE replacement until the spare engine was built ...... :? unless of course im pointed otherwise.

Yep will do the work myself. Hopefully being pointed in the right direction as to spec wise... not after silly horse power but something quick enough to enjoy... ;) the spec'C' has 350 at the moment and that is fun....

the klinger is a direct replacement so no need for skimming unless the head is warped then you would defo skim a warped head anyway if you need a head let me know i have quite a few :-D
