I'm pleased that you're making your way forwards again. Eight weeks doesn't sound long but when you work as quickly as Al does, you can and will achieve tonnes in that time. Don't forget, and this is serious, if you need a physical hand, please ask.

There may be a few of us that would be happy to help if we have the notice.

Alan is currently still over at Gordons working on the car. The engine block and gearbox have been removed and Alan is currently taking the sump off. Not sure of all the details but Gordon has managed to source us another standard bore block so over the next week it will be cleaned, honed and refaced we will also be getting it pressure tested. Until I actually see Alan, tomorow I won't know exactly what we need to get.

Everything being well Gordon is hoping to have the car running by next weekend.

while at gordons i had to have a grown up conversation with him about
the situation we are in, as aul said i only have a few days available so this is
the plan that have insisted to gordon that we need to stick to:-

1. get block sorted on monday
2. gordon to have pistons, crank and head in place by wednesday night
3. ill be going over to build up the engine to compleation
4. saturday fit engine into the car and get running again

gordon understand what needs to be done and believes this is possable

after the generosity of last weekend and going out on track last sunday i have
my mojo back massivly and we carnt afford to let you guys down
the force behind our revival:thumbs:

I am sure that everyone that has chipped in just wants the best for you two; obviously we hope to see you at Snetterton, but when all is said and done, I know I was happy to help regardless of whether you run or not.

Glad you have the support and understanding of Gordon; it would be an even steeper challenge without him.

Onwards and upwards :D
