Man that looks like a lot of work!

I'm sure you can make that safe with a few litres of fuel sloshing around next to you, pressurised and flammable, but I'd constantly be looking for the nearest loo's as opposed to focusing on apices etc :) Have you already explored the idea of a spare wheel type fuel cell, much like the LPG ones? Nice for weight distribution as it's right over the rear wheels and away from that heavy boat anchor up front and surely safer too?

Good luck matey. I'm sure someone who hasn't had 2.25 litres of red this afternoon will be along soon to help :grouphug:

I'm of the mind set that should the fuel cell want to play silly buggers and turn itself into an incendiary IED then it doesn't really matter if it's mounted to the left of me or mounted behind me as either way makes for a bitch of a day.....especially with the price of V Power these days :D

I onlyt mentioned it as i know that inside our car gets a tad warm especially with all the sound deadening, carpets removed. The heat coming off the turbo and exhaust just fills the car especially at the front.

It always was quite hot inside the car when driving even when the carpets and mats etc. were still in there so you may be right, I'm wondering if there's any sort of zip up thermal blanket/bag available on the market that the fuel cell could go inside before being fixed in place.

Don't know about thermal blankets for fuel cells. Another thing to consider is the usage of the car. What I mean by that is if you put the fuel cell in the space of the passenger seat then you will never be able to scare the shite out of your mates.

As far as I can recall in the 12 years or so that I've had an ebay account I have never left negative feedback, I may have to make an exception here

When you consider that it's 100% their error and for the sake of covering £4 postage on a £60 order it's ridiculous

Well just a quick update on this ^^^^ issue, the incorrect parts that had been sent were returned to them way back in July. To cut a long story short I still don't have the correct (or any!) parts, still haven't had the postage costs refunded and/or a refund and have had no reply to several emails asking for an update, so basically I'm of the mind that Amber Performance have clearly just mugged me of for £60 worth of Samco hose......clearly customer service forms a large portion of the company mission statement.....horse shit!!

I've taken a bit of a shine to the ex Skyline Parts/Hexham Scotty R33 ute and was wondering whether a similar thing could be done to a zed

This one is based on a LWB and looks to be a pretty poor attempt however I reckon if it was done properly and well thought out then it could look pretty good

Quite a few Skylines and Silvia's have been converted.

I'm sure it would play havoc with the aero however the NASCAR trucks seem to cope well enough.

Lea Wood's is a full space framed/FRP bodied build but the principle is surely the same (albeit not based around a shitty ancient Datsun!)

I'm looking to identify the series that they used to run theirs in?

He showed me around it several years ago whilst they were sorting some rims out for me and it looks the bollocks.

I figure the extra weight loss could be beneficial over the quarter mile if I can get the rear tyres to grip well enough on the launch. I'm pondering on having it cut back to just behind the drivers seat and losing the rear quarter windows, then sealing the open back off with a flat ali' or FRP plate.

I wouldn't be doing it myself, I'd be paying a garage to carry out the work. I'm too busy trying to sort the fuelling out at the moment along with stripping the rear sub-frame for new paint.
