Engine Build
Day 1.
Took a nice leisurely drive over to StreetRacers to start the engine build today. Well it was for me in the frontera Alan had a rather harsh ride due to how stiff the car is....it basically bounced and skipped for the whole 60 mile trip:smilielol5: I nearly wet myself watching Alan's head bounce around like a nodding dog.

The plan for today was just to get the old engine, gearbox and drive shaft out. Gordon had cleared a lift for us to use and after a cup of tea and a chat Alan set to work on taking the top half of the engine off before dropping it out.

It wasn't long before the car was in bits.

Once the engine was out it was time to give the new block a clean and a coat of paint to freshen it up.

Once all the hard work for today was done Alan decided it was time to play, so he fitted the back box of the exhaust to see what it was going to look like:driving:

Whilst it was on he just couldn't resist blowing smoke through it an telling Gordon that the new engine is very quite but smokes a bit:bart:

He also suggested to Gordon that whilst i was sat down that I could fit the piston rings to which replied..........NO.
Tomorrow Alan will be starting to build the engine up.
After that

Nice and clean car underneath though.....that's got to be good news
Seeing the wheels reminded me; what pcd and offset are they?

I will double, triple check in the shed tomorrow but I'm sure there are some 108's in there, that would suit. I'll let Alan know mate
