Nothing mate, I sent an email to them a few days ago asking for confirmation that they would be covering the return postage cost. I attached a photo to the email showing a screen grab of their previous ebay correspondence alongside the delivered 6.5mm hoses still in the packet (just as a way of proving that I'm not some tit who's trying it on) and so far have had nothing back from them as yet.
It's only £4 delivery but it's the principle, it's there balls up so why should I be £4 out of pocket especially as I'm now having to contend with more delays.

I've had companies on there make mistakes before and cover the postage only last month the missus ordered bike gloves and they sent the wrong size so covered the return cost and sent the right pair out very good.

I've had a minor problem with this particular company before. On the previous occasion they had listed hoses on ebay marked up as 'available/in stock' when in fact they weren't, there was actually a month+ or so lead time before they would be getting more stock in. Effectively their MO was to take an order and payment and then when they had sufficient orders they'd place an order with the manufacturer. The explanation offered by them was that they couldn't hold stock as it would be too costly and then going on to give the usual big timing bollocks about being a multi million pound turnover company....yawn.

Not a particularly good experience but I gave them the benefit of the doubt, however after this little fiasco I don't think I'll bother with them again.

Still heard nothing from this company.

As far as I can recall in the 12 years or so that I've had an ebay account I have never left negative feedback, I may have to make an exception here

When you consider that it's 100% their error and for the sake of covering £4 postage on a £60 order it's ridiculous

I'd be tempted to email them every hour, then find them on face space and slag them off on there every week, but then i'm not a nice person  . Hope you get it sorted soon.

So today was the first day in a while that I had time to get a few jobs done. First on the agenda was to try to remove the stock fuel tank, unfortunately the SWB fuel tank is completely different to the LWB as it's located behind the seats in a kind of 'horse saddle bag' configuration.

This means that the only way to get the fuel tank out is to remove the entire rear sub frame.

One of the bolts on the DW HICAS replacement kit needed to be removed in order to swing the arms out of the way, this allowed access to the rear sub frame nuts

I'm toying with the idea of locating the new fuel cell in the passenger seat location, initially I was looking at mounting it in the boot however by locating it slightly further forward and lower should equal out the weight of me in the driver seat and also as it would sit about 12"-18" below the stock location the centre of gravity should also be lowered.

This is by no means set in stone however I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be ok.

This tank may be ok to use without the swirl pot and lifter pump as the outlet ports sit lower than the base of the tank and as long as the tank remains at least 1/3 full it should never starve the main fuel pump, so effectively the lower angled section of the tank itself would act as the swirl pot

As it was a nice day I took the opportunity to give the engine bay and the front end a good dig out, rub down followed by a few coats of paint, it definitely looks better for it

The Nissan '99 spec lights seem to have a new lodger

I'm not entirely sure how he got in there but I think he's asleep

Needless to say there's still shit loads to be getting on with

Tomorrow I need to get cracking on burning out the old sub frame and diff bushes.....can't wait :D

This is a quick walk round from earlier, the plan is to cut another opening on the passenger side rear quarter to match the one on the drivers side. These will be used as intakes to feed large brake duct piping for cooling the rear brakes.

It will require some careful planning as I'll need to run the pipe through the inside of the inner rear arch and loop it back around in order to clear the tyre and get the cold air feed to where it is needed. As the stock fuel tank will no longer be there this shouldn't be too difficult to achieve

Good going on what must have been a stupidly hot day. What side of the engine is your turbo. The reason I ask is just wondering if the heat from the engine and turbo will heat up the fuel, thus giving you another possible problem of needing to install fuel cooler.

The VG30DETT in twin turbo configuration has a turbo on either side of the engine. I've just had the tape measure out and the distance from the leading edge of the fuel tank to the fire wall is exactly 24" with the passenger side turbo sitting approximately 6"-10" forward of the fire wall, is that too close?
