Are you having one made?

stopping is not a option mate we have a deadline for the car and we are going to stick to it mate.
gordon from streetracers is going to be sorting the wiring loom out for us.

Great project, looking forward to seeing the engine go together.

to start off mate were using standard head bolts as were only going to about 330-350bhp to start with but we will be going ARP bolts once we have the head work done over the winter to run more power.
at the moment the clutch, crank, flywheel, etc are being balanced so car will rev to 7500rpm but to be on the safe side we'll run to 7000rpm think.
once car is built will be coming over for a meet.

At the moment we are not planning to go long studs on this block. The block is a standard 205 block and originally we were going to have it bored out by0.5mm but Gordon suggested that we only have the bores honed 0.25 to maintain strength in the block. For the power levels that we are planning to run long studs are not a necessity....at the moment.

The next engine, which Alan has already started talking about would be long studded, but i'm waiting till we get this one up and running before i start researching the next.

well today after waiting for the rain to stop alan fitted the undertray that used to be on the old sierra/BMW bumper and luckely it fitted really well with this cosworth bumper with no modifications needed at all

im sure Al was sleeping under there
Image

drilled the holes so rods would fit through to hold the front inplace
Image

undertray bolted up into place and this time wont need bolting to the bumper like previous ones, also fitted towing eye do you think we'll need a arrow pointing out were it is:rofl:

If everything goes to plan the engine will be in by the end of the weekend. Correction.... it has to be in by the end of the weekend as we have tracktime booked at FordFair on the 8th August.

No pressure...
