Not interested in drag mate, just a hard used road car that i'll take to the ring and do the occasional track day.

Obviously im nowhere near this level, but a ask you... show car?

Frayz, all this blinginess you're adding to the car makes it look pretty damn nice....however.....are you ever going to use the car in anger i.e. Drag & Track, or is it just going to be a show winning car as i have no doubts it would definately win some shows for sure?? :D
Francis, I've just choked on a mouthfull of tea. Give us a summary of events that you've done in the last 12 months and then have a pop at Frayz.

Gerry,

Nobody least of all me is having a pop at Frayz...where the feck did you come up with that reasoning please!! :?

Also in reply to what have i done in the last 12 months:

1. I don't have a show car and as it looks really well used and is used everyday. It's does plenty of mileage!!
2. Up until a little while ago it was a bog standard car with some issues and it was off the road for a number of months awaiting repairs/mods. that was very hard to deal with baring in mind it's my only car and managing without it was difficult.
3. It's been recently modified and still has some issue's that i'm slowly sorting out but there is no way it's going on a track until it been fixed and i am happy to track it. But it will be used in anger in due course, no doubt about it.
4. It's my one and only everyday car that has to get me all round the country to see clients all over the place, regular trips up to Scotland etc...etc... therefore i have to be very careful what i do with it, and money is pretty tight at the mo too so i cannot afford to break again just now!!

In the last 12mths i have not done a single event or otherwise for the reasons stated above. When i hear about all these events i am saddened as i just cannot take part right now but that won't be the case for much longer i sincerely hope.

I'm enquiring about Frayz's car as i genuinely want to see what it can really do. With all the mods going into this car it's bound to be fecking quick and i for one would love to see just how quick it is. With all the mods he's done and the way in which he does them he is an example to all of us, especially me.

Equally and in my humble opinion it's a bloody nice looking car and i see no reason why it wouldn't make a really nice show car. I'm sure it would win.

Do me a favour Gerry, read my fecking post properly will you and don't read into it silly shit that isn't there. Also, when you use your Scooby every single fecking day for regular commuting and big mileage all over the fecking UK and not just for sprinting you can fecking well ask me what events i have done in the last 12mths. If i remember rightly and from what you told me, although your car is MOT'd/Taxed to allow you to get to events as you don't trailer it, it is used as a track only vehcile and doesn't do a lot of mileage!!

Anyone can have a track/sprint only car Gerry but to do both regularly is a risk when it's your only car!! It's very easy for you to say to me what have i done in the last 12months but if it breaks on an event day out it's coming out of my pocket...not yours!!! :)

P.S. Gerry old chap, are you sure it wasn't your cock you were chocking on!! :thumb:

-----------------------------------------

Also Frayz.....The Gobstopper is a lovely looking car and i have seen it in pics at various events, but it is a track only car too not a show car and i imagine at their level and what they do with it, it would be difficult to make it a show car also.

As for yours Frayz and at your level i see no reason why your car wouldn't do well at shows and do the odd event for pleasure only as well.....after all you entered it in the Nasioc competition and it came second!!

I hate that word loser.

Nobody is a loser because you car was voted on by many like minded people and you didn't win by a gnats cock!! You came 2nd mate, on the podium....didn't lose!! But yeah you must try harder

I forgot to add that i was up at RCM the other day to pick up some gaskets and i saw the Gobstopper parked in their garage. On closer inspection i couldn't help myself but drewl all over it and imagine being it's pilot. Let's face it...you don't drive it.....you fly it :D

What an awesome bit of kit that is!! :thumb:

Clearly your pockets are a damn site deeper than mine and many other peoples however, some of us don't have the luxury of being sponsored by a first rate Scooby Tuner to build and fettle it and make it bomb proof or the luxury of being able to afford to trailer it to competitions and then wreck it, and build it bigger, and faster and lighter than ever!!

More power to your Scooby though, i'm only insanely jealous!! :D

Cheers Mike, its just the way i like to do things. Thats why i like to do everything myself. It means i can take the time to get everything the way i want it. I appreciate that not everyone is like me but id rather do it this way and have it take a wee bit longer than most.

If i rushed it just to get it done id never be happy. So all the money invested and time would be wasted. I just hope its everything i want it to be when im done.

Trust me guys, im spending every waking hour tinkering :D
