well today the next stage has started and there is no going back now
compressor 'check' airsaw 'check'
after a few cigarettes and a big gulp i set about butchering the arches, my pristine arches thats pretty rare on a 29 year old mk1, oh well

both the fronts are done and rims trial fitted
brakes fill the rims nicely

so onto the rears
i managed to get one side done before food was calling

im happy with how its all going

and could not resist a cheeky sticker that came from luxembourg

more to come tomorrow and hopefully some full fat arches will be fitted

Oh Mr Knights..........that is very pretty. Just how nice will that look with the proper Berg Cup arches on, and slammed? Have you compared the track width of yours to Jimbob's yet? I feel a slugfest coming on!

I know the arch cutting would have stressed you out but the results look like they will be well worth while. You have always (well, as long as I have known you) been on about a really nicely done mk1 and now you have one. Step back and enjoy the view mate. I know your plans for the car and I think that you will have a very famous car on your hands quite soon.

we are pretty much the same

i trial fitted a front arch and oh my gosh, i may even need to trim the arch a touch, they are going to fill perfectly
i might need another 15-20mm stub axle spacer on the rear though

Looks awesome trev know it must of been hard to make the first cut into those arches.

But going to be worth it in the end.

arches are not on, but both the rears have been cut and the two skins welded together
played around with some stickers and fitted a harness on my new harness bar

i dont know were the time went today , think i spent most of it thinking and pondering and adding to my shopping list
anyhow heres a few piccys

oh and my new shiney carbon front splitter that i have not fitted yet wont be
one of these is going on instead but there will be a dash of carbon to go with it
