Seeing the car come together is such a buzz and the temptation for us to take the car out for a drive (pose) is hugh:blush5:. Watching Alan apply the graphics was amazing, it took 25 mins to apply the 2nd cat, i timed him. In all that time his concentration never waivered and i wasn't allowed to speak to him whilst he was doing it.

Patience is not one of Alan's strong points and one of his favourite comments is "it'll do". So I have to give a big THANK YOU to Alan for humouring me and going that extra mile to make the car what I envisaged, and for the shear amount of time and effort that he has put into this car.

FANTASTIC JOB MATE. The car looks awesome:coolgleamA:

Nearly time to start nailing this thing together:smash:

Block refaced and bores honed
Head refaced, and valve stems fitted
Crank ground and polished
Engine rotating parts being balanced as of today
Sump baffled (but may still go big wing)
Uprated conversion for gearbox - sorted

Turbo - bought
Gasket set - bought
909 motorsport leads - bought
305 LPH fuel pump - ordered
Cam followers - bought
ACL race bearings - collecting saturday

Plus other bits and bobs which we have collected along the way, such as s/s rocker cover bolts, TRS towing strap, s/s exhaust.

Still got a bit to get but we have concentrated on the things that needed to be ordered and come by post first.

Build starts in 11 days from today:willy_nilly:

Is the block going to have long studs? Also what is your planned rev limit as you're keeping hydrolic?
Great project, looking forward to seeing the engine go together.
