Have also just bought our second engine a standard low mileage 2.8 v6.
First thing to do is to totally strip it down. A few of the things that we will be having done are
1. 2.9 v6 pistons domed and fitted
2. Cyclinder heads skimmed then have 2mm grove recessed in. To help relieve pressure off the gaskets, Thus enabling us to run more boost
3. Uprated oil pump
4. Flywheel lighten and balanced or may fit an alloy one,
5. Saab fuel pressure regulator to help with fueling the on higher boost levels.
Time to get the car sorted for snetterton 28th.
List of jobs that we.....Bart will be undertaking.
Turbo to come off manifold
New heads to be fitted
New exhaust manifolds to be fitted
New gaskets all round
Cossie exhaust to be fitted
Saab fuel pressure regulator to be fitted
New brakes and calipers to be fitted
Once these jobs are done we will have the car set up on a rolling road and the boost turned up.
The are a few other things that I would like to get done but I time is against us for this meet. Oh.. we are hoping to get in a track day to test the car prior to snetterton.
right today i got the turbo of what a job that was and tryed to see if i can get a new gasket for the turbo sitting on the manifold and carnt get one was told need to go to a specialist to get one (job for pablo) and because its metal need it cut to shape
