I love old cars :)
I think the 15" wheels are a good move, for all of the reasons you mentioned and more. As for the power steering, at least you have the option of manfoot rear wheel steering too. Just pump the tyres up to about 50psi and that will get all the easier.
Have fun. Remember it's not a quattro.

Hi Rob,
Maybe worth PM'ing Mattie170 in regards suspension, i know he has replaced every single suspension bush on his cosworth - he got them all from one company, they are poly bushes, very well priced, perform well and a little bonus they are black not in garish purple or yellow. they may do a set for yours??

Just found out after lots of research that 4WD ARB's won't go onto a 2WD apparently, so once I've measured mine, I'll look out for a 28mm one from either another random 2WD or a 2WD Cosworth. (If mine's already got a 28mm one, I'll shut up;:)

rob im not one to question anyones hard work into research but id like to raise a few point that people have told me "it carnt be done"

1. xr4x4 calapers wont line up on my hubs (you've seen the pics of them on)
2. a MK1 rear beam wont fit onto a MK2 sierra (see my project thread)
3. 2.9 pistons wont fit into a 2.8 block (hebie had them fitted into a standard block)
4. 2.9 inlet maniflod wont fit onto 2.8 heads (i have lined these up and they will fit together)

Rob as soon i get the chance mate i will get my GT up on axle stands and line the xr4x4 rollbar up with mine and take pictures of if it will or wont mate.

IF this is the case then what you could do is change the lower suspention arms for 4x4 ones and at the same time can polybush as well.

Bart, you are a force of nature mate!
Only do it if it's not going to be a hassle, the impending wheel and manifold purchase will wipe my meagre funds out for a while....

Mr Ben...........always a tale to tell about dodgy driving and getting away with it. I can't picture you as a delivery driver mate.
