The car looks Billy Badarse 8) Excellent stuff
So, how did the car handle, stop, go.........where did it do better than expected in terms of performance and what about improvement areas?

Hey Stu, yes the wheels are from a late model Supra turbo (17"), they're 8" front and 9.5" rears with 235 and 255 respectively.
Im amazed how well the car handled considering just how hard I push cars on the track, I only felt a small amount of understeer which for now im going to blame on the cheapy front tyres, before I change anything else im going to try Toyo R888 or similar.
The powerband is perfect for the gearing, the turbo comes on boost just after 4000rpm making full boost (1bar) not long after and the engine revs clean and keeps pulling hard right upto the limiter at 7800rpm. :twisted:
One thing I wasnt expecting was to be chasing down some fairly rapid cars, although there are still far too many tourists on track! :roll:
The only things im definately changing before I go back are the brakes on the front, excellent on the road but after a few late brakes under the bridge, they started to give in. Im thinking R33/34 GTR discs and spacing out the calipers, and uprating the pads all round. I dont think the brake fluid has ever been changed either... :oops:
...and im junking the aircon, I soon realised just how restricted the airflow to the radiator is with the intercooler and aircon rad in front of it!
Otherwise, bring on the next one!
:-D :-D

Brakes are a question of two things;
Budget
Application
If you really are going to drive it hard, Brembo upgrades may not be enough. Instead of spending

Ive heard great things about the Ksport kits, certainly worth looking into.
Its a pain in the arse building something with such a huge potential on such a minimal budget, even more annoying was a couple of complete pricks with ex-touring car BMW M3s with all the gear, and quite literally NO idea what they were doing. Money doesnt make you good at something. Makes me very sad.
Also makes me more determined to get back and show them up in my 'Billy Badarse' budget racer.
So gotta put that on my number plate.

Don't forget that trackdays are not supposed to be competitive. Joking aside, even on the track their is a time and a place. Would be a shame to read that you'd bent it trying to prove a point to someone.
Have fun, play safe (stay out of BM drivers way
