There is something very cathartic about stripping a car, expressly for the purposes of making it more dynamic. Good work fella :thumb:

Haha tell me about it. I had to cut off the wires that feed the onboard computer since I've sold it. I got as far as behind the dash above the passenger footwell and saw the mass behind there and decided to just cut them there.

Quick update - I've pretty much stripped everything I want to strip for now including lots of wiring. I found the battery was a bit shagged and the car wouldn't even click let alone turn over. So I changed the battery and turned the key only for there still to be no turning over or even clicking! Seems I have been too over zealous with hacking away at the wiring and I may have cut something important oops  I don't know where to start in terms of fixing it so I won't. Luckily my mechanic has a recovery truck.

Here's some photos now that the interior has been finished for now. The sound deadening will be removed later in the year.

Here's part of the dash where I've relocated the elec window switches to the unit that holds the traction control switch and cig lighter. In fact I'm now going to have all those switches and things relocated onto a panel which will sit in the hole where the stereo was instead:

I sold the headlining this morning so here's the roof. Eventually the whole sunroof cassette will come out and the roof welded up:

Here's the back of the car. Once the steering wheel is changed (next week) the airbag control unit you can see in the bottom right of the photo will be removed:

And here's some footwell photos:

I'll be getting an aluminium floorplate for the driver's side:

Good news Tommy :thumb:

The wheel looks cool. The added feel will come in handy, no doubt.

Yeah I'm very glad the reason for the car not starting was not due to my hacking of the wiring loom. But it's also annoying that this particular aircon fuse renders the starter motor useless. Anyway, I'll know if it happens again in the future.
