You thought about just taking the Nismo bonnet lip off? I never had issues with mine when it was running aero bonnet catch's but then I never had the extended lip. Could be worth a go, although if your bonnet is compromised now, you may need a donor.

Yeah I decided against a carbon bonnet last time as most are shit quality and offer no weight saving over the std ally one. Saying that they do come with vents which can but help things.

I'm pondering the removal of the lip, but I think it's because my pins are located quite far back - I notice that Rons car has them between the headlights and thus further forward. Obviously then exaggerated by the lip.

Wonder if I could just move my catches and put some calsonic stickers over the holes.....

Ben, not seen that thread but a lovely build, and a tragic end....

That's where mine are. Hmm, wonder if it's only that we saw it in the pic that I'm worrying about it - had I never seen that I'd never have known!! Whats the worst that will happen, that I bend the front edge of the bonnet up.... praps I leave it and see what happens

Joking aside I think it will be probably be fine mate. You will soon know when it's actually kinked..............alloy tends to make it pretty obvious in that respect.

Mine started to lift/flare on a top speed run @ RAF Honington but it never got any discernibly worse over the next couple of years with several runs at 140+

Yeah agreed, I wasn't actually joking, I can't see that anything disasterous will happen so worst ways it will kink up proper and I change the bonnet. Right, problem solved - do nothing :D

Well in that case this would be as good a time as any to start a Rocky IV training programme and lose a few pounds

Just go and upload some chad' 80's power music onto your ipod, plenty of shit phrases like 'burning desire', 'fast as lightening' and 'no retreat, no surrender' etc

You'll take the Sprint world by storm I'm sure

*or alternately some random passer by might just upload the video clip onto Youtube of the weird bloke hopping around London with a railway sleeper across his shoulders.....but hey ho....'you've got to fight to survive!!!' :boxing_smiley:
