Do you normally drop tyre pressures to go on track :?:

I thought with most road going tyres you up the pressures slighty to stiffen the sidewalls otherwise they end up scrubbing the tarmac and making the handling a bit squishy and steering slow to react :-k

or am i more than likely completely wrong :D
Buggers cancelled my op just a couple of days before it was due. Inconsiderate barstewards!!

Thats correct - but these will be track tyres with stiffer sidewalls and are designed to run at lower pressures.

I didn't know that!! :D

Glad to see you're using the Toyo R888, i've never used them but i hear they are very good and you seem to find them on lots of track cars like Caterham and Lotus.

Nice one :thumb:

depends on the tyres, the car etc.
For the road legal slicks i would always drop the pressures, plus once you've done a lap or two, the heat builds up and i will see around 5 psi increase due to this.
Take regular exercise, walk to you car!

Whiteline Camber Bolts fitted this morning. Pretty easy job but left geometry undisturbed for the mo (as best I could)

While I was doing this I dropped the front of the car by 8mm to level it off with the rear.

Templates for canards created - not sure whether I am actually going to fit them but we will see :) I will cut them out this afternoon and see what they look like :D

I have also made the measurements for gurney flap to fit to the rear spoiler and calculations for the drawings made :thumb: That should be interesting :)

edited with canards cut out of the carbon sheet:
