Ok after having a bit of time now to work on my RX7 I managed to pick up a bargain basement bit........a Master Cylinder Stopper. Its a good mod again that people recommend as it stops the master cylinder moving under braking. A lot of people say they had to push the RX7 brake pedal down quite far before it would bite but with this it gets rid of that slack completely. Heck for me the Rex has superb braking and I only have standard discs and pads but compared to my Polo which you have to push to the floor its great as standard. But this should make a good difference in my quest to make the car more of a fast road spec.....anyway a pic says a 1000 words....

Yes it is that nice shiny thing in the middle of the photo despite my iPhone trying to take a reasonable picture in the poor light....gawd it gets dark now early !!

Also I have not told you about mods regarding fueling. Basically the standard RX7 has 2 x 550 primary injectors and 2 x 850 secondary injectors. When I did the first lot of mods and especially when fitting my Greddy SMIC the injectors would hit over 95%. In my panic at this I was told the best solution was 850s in the primaries to match the secondaries. Now after driving the car (yes I do drive it occasionally......but not this year :( ) I always used to absolutely stink of fuel and when people have followed me I have to listen to them moaning about how rich my fueling was. Well the long short of it was that I was fed up with this and decided to do something about it.
Therefore after researching last year (which kept me sane) I decided the best solution was to put back the primaries to 550cc which removes the smelly idle and buy bigger secondaries (1680cc) which caters for any mods in the future.
It meant new hosing from the primary to secondary rail, a new secondary rail, new hosing from the secondary to an FPR, a new FPR then new hosing back to the return fuel line. Can you guess who is cutting the hosing.......yep me !! Well all I can say is braided hosing is a ballache !! But getting there slowly.

Anyway spent some time over the weekend and got the primaries bolted back in ok and connected. I also fitted the secondaries but this needed the LIM taken off. I'd like to say it was because it needed to be, the truth is that I dropped one of the plastic injector diffusers down it giving myself a nightmare thinking....sht what if it has gone into the rotor housing. Luckily though when I took the LIM off it was just sitting there.....thank fk !!
Anyway enough waffling.....here are the injectors fitted in the new secondary rail

Hopefully will be able to fit the hosing from the FPR back to the return fuel line tomorrow morning. If not I have next week off to do some more of the mods. Currently my garage looks like an RX7 graveyard with bits and bolts all taken off !!

Ah well, onwards and upwards on one of the longest 'non running' periods in the cars life :)

Oh and the direction I want to follow is Miguels car from Newera...(but without the gash rear lights)

This has been the main inspiration for my car since the very beginning. I'd love to be able to afford the same seats also....

Maybe one day ;)

Ha ha yeah the guy isnt selling his Re-Amemiya kit anymore mate. Plus for the price it was going to cost and then the insane price for wider wheels I decided against it. When it was removed from sale it was actually a benefit.

Just need to persuade Dom that he needs another front bumper instead of his 99 spec ;)

Oh and no buying a 99 spec for yours otherwise we will have the same looking cars !!!! :D

The longest gestation period known to man :)
Joking aside mate, I admire your patience. When it's all bolted back together in your shoes, I would drive the car to Jaydee's, get him to map it properly and then enjoy it. If you decide to buy seats etc, then that's cool, but to own something as nice as this and never drive it strikes me as madness.
Good luck
