It came from http://www.amber-performance.co.uk - very good price IMO and great service from them - this was custom ordered from the states and took less than 2 weeks.rolty wrote:Fookin' 'ell as the Mancs say!
That's huge!Where did you source it from?
RaceDynamix STi - Time Attack 2009
On another issue, as the car is a little lower than intended by Subaru, the steering arms are at a slightly greater angle and cause a noticeable amount of bump steer. I have been using extended steering arms and ball joints from Whiteline supplied by Alyn at ASP which help to a large degree and would be sufficient in most cars that have been lowered, but they still arent enough.
I was chatting to Paul at Zen Performance about this yesterday and we are going to trial a new solution of extended steering arm joints with spherical bearings and a much bigger ball joint relocator to see whether this solves it. This is the exact same set up they used on the Zen TA car last year and that was VERY low. It looks like it will do the job perfectly. Fingers crossed this will be on for the track test on the 22nd along with a few other little things.

No wonder you had the wider arches fitted Duncan
Although it's a bit of an extreme way to justify such a wide spoiler...
Car is looking very good, and with the new ECU it should deff be a bit of a beast 8)
The steering problem sounds different, but then again, not being too mechanically minded, I wouldn't even think about things like that to start with. Hopefully the new setup will be what you need for it all to work well.
Love the updates you give us, very interesting to see how things come together like this (& other peoples projects too).
Ady.
