That's exactly what I did, just waited - took about 2 years but well worth it :)

Have you looked at xxr wheels? cheap as chips. I was going to get them for mine having had the rota grid drifts on my last car i wanted something different. Ended up going for a different style of rota in the end. Rota's are pretty good value and looks wise I reckon they look as JDM as many jdm rims. Pics of xxr and rota on my build thread.

Why don't you like the tein suspension are you having problems with it? I've never run tein and heard mixed reviews, some people love it, others not so keen.

I was going to ask that, I found them to massively improve the handling, on the road I'd have them on the softest setting then wind them upto full hard on the track. I'd originally had some ohlins on (not coilovers), the teins were sweet.

I've had Teins before and found them spot on (cue memories of hooning after bikes on open country roads in my RX7 heh) but since fitting these to the skyline they were horrible.

When I bought them they were already set for a decent height so fitted them as they were which I think is what the problem is with them to be honest. Done the rears so far as I had them apart for the hicas delete and they had so much preload on the spring i'm hoping that reducing this will solve my problem :D

Got the fronts to do yet but gearbox/clutch/whatevers-broken needs sorting first which I'm removing this weekend :)

So got the gearbox off - expecting to see something very obviously amiss with the clutch engagement setup but nothing looked out of place at all :(

Replaced the pivot ball with the nismo item I had, replaced the release bearing with the new one I had and now a bit unsure what to do... clutch has a few hot spots and a bit of a lip on it but have been told by SPEC that its all normal and nothing looks amiss...

Image

Unsure what to do now as if I put it all back together now i've not replaced anything which looked like it might've caused the problems with not being able to disengage the clutch.

Clutch fork doesnt look bent at all, no leaks from the hydraulic system and the servo was pushing on the fork when the clutch was pressed prior to removal...

Opinions greatly appreciated :(

Is the correct release bearing fitted? .. I'm sure there are two different types relating to whether you have single, twin, triple etc.

Does it change ok when the car is off ?

The release bearing in your picture 30502-21000 isn't listed as being for an R32GTR also you have a twin now so would need a different bearing. Just had a quick search on the net and it seems to be for a twin you need Nissan 30502-14601.

some info here - http://www.exedy-racing.com/racing/en/pro/repair.html

Have you checked the clutch manufacturers website?.

Thanks for your help Ben - could change gear no problems with the car switched off but not with it switched on (likewise if was in gear the clutch did nothing)...

Up until these problems though it was working fine, did a couple of launches no problems and then when it let go suddenly it was when I was driving relatively gently (although before it let go it was crunching a little between gear changes).

As per your link (http://www.exedy-racing.com/racing/en/pro/repair.html) the release bearing I've got is the oem nissan one for an R32 GTR - this was the same as my old one which worked with the clutch previously (and came from a Exedy Stg 1 clutch kit iirc) although the fingers on the spec clutch pressure plate are very different to the ones on the exedy kit;
