Right, just finished. Its a piece of piss to do if you know how. I used this diagram although I didn't do the extra earth bit (splicing the black wire). I also didn't bother extending the original wires, just cut the red one in half and wired straight to the relay.

I just took it for a drive and it didn't blow up so I guess were all good!

Just got back from mapping.

Car feels great and mapped really well and easily to a very steady 0.8bar. No spiking or creep at all and no other issues except a possible sticky idle solenoid.

The main difference is the extra pull you get from the 2nd turbo. I couldn't really notice when it kicked in before as it was quite smooth. Now when you get to 4k all hell breaks loose! It really kicks you in the arse. :D

The power delivery in general is just so damn responsive. I can understand the desire for raw power from a big single, but when the twins are working this good it all makes a lot of sense.

All in all im very happy with the results. JayDee is a quality chap and would highly recommend!

To be honest, I have heard nothing but praise for the HSD's. Maybe that's not such a disaster mate?

Glad to hear the rave review about Jaydee. I've met him a few times and we got on great, him banging on about rotaries and me dribbling over his cars when he's at Snett :)
Good luck with the continued build Chris. The more Rex's on here, the better.

Thanks Stuart. Looked at reviews all day and didn't see one bad one for the HSD's. They feel really solid and well made. Will be fitted on Monday :)

Jaydee is a great guy. I also drooled at what was in his lock-up. Some serious time attack cars and drag beasts.

Is he trading as a 'tuner' now Chris? I know he kind of liked the whole underground thing when we last spoke.

No not really. He still has a full time job, just doing it evenings and weekends. Looks like he's working on some of the hottest RX7s in the country at the moment though.
