Looking good, I love threads like these 8)

Just wish I had the money (& skills) to do something like this myself

Biggest thing I've done on my own was a cylinder head upgrade on a 3.0 6 cylinder Opel Monza
1998 - 4.6L V8 - Manual Box - Ford Mustang
225 BHP @ 4750rpm - 290 ft lb @ 3500 rpm

Not quite as lairy as that.
Right now I am thinking of pure white with a strong silver or maybe even gold metal flake. If I can spray metal flake with my kit, having never done it before.

I really should get in the habit of updating these project threads more frequently. The V8 is back in the engine bay, all neww mounts and modified subframe, prop shaft made and fitted, gearbox came out again, clutch system re-designed and remade, exhaust fitted... blah blah.

Basically lots of work has gone in to it, the engine ran again for the first time tonight after I called in the services of a friendly electrition to make sense of an old hacked about RX7 harness, previously rewired with bits of old string by a muppet. A new harness is now going to be made and the car completely re-wired. All except for 1 last bit to machine on the clutch system I have a car that will drive.

Must get some pictures next time, but hopefully they will be with a video of it running and driving under its own power. There is still plenty to do on plumbing, making the new harness and then getting stuck into the interior and painting it, but it can be called a car once again.

The car still doesnt drive. After much dicking about with the clutch system I worked out that the 2 cylinders are completely miss matched and I need to find a new, larger master cylinder or smaller slave that will fit.

So, I went along today intending to at least get more prep done on the body and maybe start the interior. Instead, the whole boiling hot day was spent clearing out the workshop and making more space to complete the 4 projects currently on the go in there. At least it looks good now:

Oh Rob, that looks awesome! I have a new wallpaper now :)

You should keep some perspective around your projects. You have two massive undertakings and not that much time to impact on either. You work in product planning mate; maybe it's time to apply some of your 6 Sigma thesis to the cars that you're modifying?

Don't get too use to that large gap next to the Amazon........there will be a large Betty shaped inanimate object in there this week :)
