I think it does make people in the position that I am in more resourceful. Of course I appreciate the complications of tuning any car, even with a choice of parts available, sometimes it's difficult in itself to sort the 'wheat' from the 'chaff' so to speak. But when you are faced with tuning something that has simply never been done, everything is a mission and is all just a big gamble. I still acknowledge that we might run this on the Dyno, overlay the graphs with how it was before and see no improvement. This would be immensely frustrating, but it's part of the fun in a way.stuartstaples wrote:You seem to have glossed over the percussive maintenance required to get the manifold to fit behind the slam panel. It's nice to see a bit of thinking outside of the box. Your comments about Japanese car owners having it easy with choices is true up to a point. Because parts aren't readily available for some other cars, does that make those that tune them more resourceful because they have to improvise or are their choices compromised because there isn't enough testing??
Not having a dig, just wondered....
I do like to be different, which I suppose is why I have stuck to my guns and seen this whole project through, even though it has fought me all the way!
LOL about the Percussive maintenance. It did the job, no??!!
