AX Track Toy SPEC
Now i have some spare rims, Compomotive Mo's 14' any idea of what tyres to go for. I run yoko A539's now but looking for somethinfg a little more sticky any ideas.

" Uh Betty you should of seen this car in Ely today!! it had stickers and stripes
all over it, and when it started up, the noise!!!, I could feel my teeth rattling!!!"
After sourcing some Colway formula2 tyres off ebay i had them slapped
on the rims ready for the the MLR sprint. The tyres are 185/60 and i
usually run 185/50 i expected them to rub maybe a little but not on the i
nner arch, outer arch, bumper, washer tank you name it it rubs on it so
as one not to be beatern i started today on sorting it.
The culprits

Not that much difference but a whole lot of hassle

How much do these hurt now

And a bit of weight saving!

After seeing the AX in action at the MLR sprint, I can honestly say it is one of the nicest prepared hot hatches I've seen in ages. Very light (circa 600kgs), barks like a motorbike due to the carbs and spins up the front wheels (slicks or not) on demand. When Lee first started it up, I thought I was gonna get my arse kicked and I think if he could have got more heat into the tyres that may well have happened.
Proof positive that you can a laugh and be quick in something that doesn't have large amounts of power.

Time to resurrect the old thread, some old pics seem to have disappeared.
Ive dragged it out of storage ready for round two of the BP sprint series.
Changed the oil, refitted the bucket seats after last using them in the ring golf,
checked the car over and not found much needed, n/s track rod end top up of
water is about it.
Biggest job is to partition off the fuel tank ready for MSA log book inspection,
just a bit more needed.
