To be honest trev was just going to paint the underneath the same time as the top but don't know if there is any product that you can add to the paint mix to make it tougher under the arches maybe russ can help here.

And ben can fit yours in between mine and also doing the same to the G60 golf but the G60 one is having alot of engine work done.

For interest, what did you do with the original 16v motor and gearbox?

Not much of an update because this job is fu#king one of the worst things ive ever started

but got to where i wonted to the drivers side is done, and you don't realise how much weight is on the floor pan

floor pan is finaly done boot floor is cut out.

cut and fitted new flat boot floor

Started under the bonnet and removed all the seam sealer

A few repairs to the rear valance then i can start to get the shell ready for paint
