Yeah Tony, I've bought some studs and nuts so that I could do the Evo/GTR/Impreza thing; the issue is also the seat in the alloy as these are some kind of silly rare/obscure fitment. I know a few engineering shops that may be able to take the job on but it's all getting a bit complicated........I can't exactly bodge wheels though, so I may have to bite the bullet and pay out more $

On a brighter, more positive note, I had a lovely message this morning telling me that I'm a step closer to some lovely coilovers :)

Bonjourno Trevario :)

I'll worry about them another time. They can fit, so it's just a case of making them fit :)

Well, a couple of weeks had gone by with not much happening. Parts are piling up everywhere; in sheds, on the drive, in the kitchen.

With frustrations of the Comp's not fitting and the fitted 17's and their rubber band tyres destroying the ride and suspension feel, something had to give. Enter the sort of bargain that can only be found in the world of Golf ownership :)

My four steel wheels and tyres, all yielding 5mm or more of tread cost me the princely sum of

I actually quite like the stealthy look to the wheels and it's lowered the car too. Not so good on the farm track, but pretty good on the race track :)

The suspension, rad, and bushes should be here next week. Fit that lot with the seat and harness, and then start to thrash it.

Done......
