It's back on but must've damaged some threads on one of the studs and the nut is just spinning close to the top now! Have had to buy some die nuts (& a tap/die set just incase I need to go down a size on the thread/nut) and will try and get the nut off later this week & rethread the stud.
Can't help but feel I was better off without the top cups compared to where I am now
