STi Time Attack 2008 - new dyno figures !!
frayz - I will take some pictures shortly :thumb:
logan - I have an open mind to TA for next year - if they get the class structure right then I am up for it. At the moment it is not right.
If not TA, then I will contemplate something like the Nippon Challenge but in fairness/truth I would probably stick to doing random track days and going over to the ring as much as possible. That is more fun than competing.
Thanks Nick - next time I will take you out for a whizz up the road in it

Yeh, I agree on teh TA thing, also it seems you just get punted out with like 30 odd drivers on circuit and then have to fight for a clean lap, my thoughts are each session should maybe be shorter with fewer cars on track, that way you get more space and a better chance of a quick lap and anyway you can only do so many hot laps before your tyres go off anyway!
As for the classes, I think they also need to maybe split it more into power catogories as at the moment unless your spending 50k plus your not going to be on the pace no matter how good you are!
I have looked at the Nippon challenge, would you use your car?? As its worth a fair bit and once you go "real racing" then the chances of it getting battered are pretty high, when racing for positions rather than only lap times!
Good luck whatever you decide. I have to say, I have missed the ring and need to sort out getting there, but its not going to happen this year now...which is a shame.

It may be worth considering the Dunlop saloon car championships Dunk if the Nippon one doesn't appeal.
I'm still confident that the guys behind TA will have several new ideas for next season, so that some of the wrinkles from this years championships can be ironed out.
My feelings of missing the Nurburgring ebb and flow. I must admit that I'm far more interested in trying a few other European circuits first rather than going back, but then I'd certainly not say no, if you know what I mean.
Best of luck Dunk, whatever happens

Plans are afoot for changes for next year's TA and sunday should shed some light on what their thoughts are.
Other european circuits - yeah, with you on that one. Hockenheim will be done in a couple of weeks but Zolder and Zandvoort seem too close to ignore and not forgetting Spa.... it seems rude to just drive past it on the way to the ring
(for the benefit of george... it must be down to the left :pmsl: or is it the right  )

Get some pics up of the phoenix mate, there havent been any pics on this thread in aaaaaaaaages !!!
The Nippon championship looks good but I think as Logan has said as more people join there will be a greater risk of damage. There is one event at Snetterton which I was thinking of going to if anyone is interested, think its september time ? If I'm honest I think I'd rather watch racing than cars going round a track trying to get the fastest lap.
How cool would a trip to Aus and the Bathurst track be.......thats gotta be the Nurburgring in the southern hemisphere !!!

I can safely say that the fuel swirl pot well and truly works though - we ran down to below the empty today
