VW bore size is 57.1

Please, no matter how helpful anyone is trying to be, no one buy anything without asking me first. I would hate for four different people to turn up with spigots etc. ;)

Rob @ Gofasterspares thinks he may have it sussed and he is visiting a tame retailer who knows me, the car and the wheels. If they can't sort it out in time; no one will.

Touched by the team work and consideration though.

Thanks

I'm hoping to finish by about 4pm (no chance :) ) but will need to get home, get changed, get one of the sets of wheels on and then get to the track, so I reckon about 4.45/5pm will be about right for me @ Snetterton.

By all means call me after 4pm. If I'm out, I'll answer :)

Bloody car. Bloody wheels!! :)

OK, the super dooper Compomotive Super Rally slag nutters still don't fit. I went to a local suppliers to take the bolts backed that GFS got me and to talk about the options (which included selling the wheels)

Compomotive were called and told us that the nuts were specific to the 6R4......that's right, the rally special made by MG to a total run of somewhere around 220 units. The nuts are different to the regular Metro ones too, so that's that angle buggered.

So, I now have some spigots, some studs for a conversion and the relevant nuts. Not convinced this is going to be 100% so you can expect to see the wheels up for sale shortly. I can see that being fun :)

Oh yeah; the radiator is leaking too, so although I'll be going to Brands on Sunday to watch Luke and the guys in the Golf GTi Championship, I won't be driving a Golf to get there. Looks like I'll have to rely on leather, sound proofed, automatic luxury for the trip instead. (Gutted :) )

Yeah, I'll be taking this opportunity to fit the biggest mk2 OE radiator there is......a bloody 8 valve one!! I should be ordering one later today, if I can't get hold of Martyn in the mean time.

I meant to ask you after your Auto Test; I know you have the Intrax coilovers but is your car fully polybushed yet?

No - on my list of jobs to be done, I think tyres are more of a priority though.

Bloody thing is wider than the front end of the Golf! And the fittings are the wrong way around :) Apart from that, it's ace
