The tyres and ARBs are still due to be fitted but I think I have changed my mind about the Spazda as a regular thing for track use. The lack of space for someone of my size will always play a role in any car that I use (both the Sierra and M3 both needed significant work to make the car fit me) and choosing one of the smallest cars in terms of interior space, maybe wasn't the smartest idea.

I've done another 30 odd miles in it today and it's great fun to drive on the road and tonnes cheaper than the V8 7 series to run for a daily.......we'll see.

It will still be used for Marham and I see no reason to sell it on but my decision does ring the death bells for the BMW. Much as I love it, and I really do, I just don't need three cars. The plan will be to keep the Mazda and BM for the next few months, get some money behind me, sell the BM around June/July and go shopping for something 'suitable' then.

This plan means that I won't be wasting anyone's time with the Mazda in terms of favours, and I also won't be wasting money trying to turn a small slowish car into an accommodating faster car.

Yeah, yeah I should have listened  :beatdeadhorse5:

Stu

You should get in contact with Shimmy as he is now involved in racing these MX5's

I reckon he will be able to give you loads of advice and get you some good prices on parts etc.

Think he might even have his own website now. shimmyracing....

If not can get hold of him on the CSL register.
