STi Time Attack 2008 - new dyno figures !!
Duncan, as you can imagine I am watchin this thread with interest. One mod which I have yet to hear you speak of is a lightened flywheel and perhaps pulleys. Have you considered these. I mention because I had a lightened flywheel fitted in my last car and it made a Huge difference to the car. The engine revs up and down much more freely and it gives the impression of more BHP as the car does accelerate quicker. Don't know what gains can be had from an Impreza but certainly worth while in an RX8.
Just a thought
Chris.

Not mentioned yet because until such time as I 'have' to change the clutch it isnt going to happen. That isnt far away though and I am sure that by early next year the clutch will be dead.
Safer at the moment to run with a clutch that will slip rather than one that will destroy my gearbox, driveshafts, transmission etc.
An Exedy Twin Plate is going to go on there then and I am 99% sure the lightened flywheel is part of that package.
Pulleys will maybe get changed when I have to change the cambelt next - its a barsteward of a job IMO. I didnt have the inclination to change the pulleys when I changed the cambelt and tensioners at 30k.

Current Issues that I am aware of:
1) Fuel Surge .... about time really, I was feeling left out from the Subaru community by not having had this to any extent
- now I get it on high G right handers and is a cause for concern that needs solving.
2) Body Roll .... having looked at pictures of me, I feel that a little less body roll will help the handling on the limit on track
3) Power .... more is almost always good
Solutions:
1. Fuel Surge
There are a number of solutions to this issue that plagues all Imprezas (it is in the mfr's handbook of excuses) and is down to the design of the fuel tank. The option is not there to change the tank so I am looking at ways to improve fuel pickup from within the tank by using an anti-surge tank or swirl pot. Hyperflow do a good kit for this that retails at
