Matt 170's Supercharged S2000
I was looking at the difference between the stock seat height and your new ones (judging by the height of the shoulders of these and the OE seats) and these are way lower! You must be chuffed Matt? How is the lateral stiffness of the seat? Is there much flex in them? (Only tried Reverie's and they were absolutely rigid.
Interesting to see that you went for HiSpec brakes; any reason you selected them over the K-sports or similar?

Yeah over the moon about the seats. They are very rigid much stronger than the recaro's. The passenger seat use to flex whilst driving along without anyone in it!! At a educated guess they are about 3" lower than oem. Both me and you need it Stuart. Just need a new steering wheel so I can bring it closer to me then the driving position is perfect.
The reason for Hi Spec's is because they offer a rear caliper with a built in cable handbrake. Also as I'm still using the oem wheels I have bugger all spoke clearance even with a 10mm front spacer so they are having to make them to suit my requirements.

I like your thinking Matt. OEM wheels, I think, are superb and I have to say that you have shown great taste in your project so far. The red wheels were brave but they worked............

Some good news this week. The car fired up on the motec and ran perfectly within a few moments. It was that good it would pass the mot at idle without a cat.
I'm now in a rush as i need to move the car as we are having a move around in our garage next weekend and my car is in front of the door.
My new brake setup should be with me next week so can get that on fit the new hand brake cables then finish off the diff install.
I've had to alter the exhaust yet again as the new drive shafts are much larger.
Got to make a decision on either a motec cdl3 dash or a race tech dash2 pro tomorrow. Motec is more but is a better fit. The race tech over all is a easier fit. The buttons of both dash's will be installed on the steering wheel.
Got a new steering wheel and quick release to try

I like it as its much closer to me and my knees don't hit the steering wheel any more. One down side it's a stretch to the stalks. Luckily I have big hands and the fact I have a lot more space for my legs it's worth it

It is a 330mm wheel and you can still see the dash

The momo boss was squashing my horn and airbag wires so had to quickly machine it the other day for clearance.

I pulled out my modified dash board this evening and put my original one back in to make a mount for the new dash. It's scary half way through.
Starting

Done and ready for some bracket making.
So my plan is by the end of next week the car will be drivable again and by the beginning of march the car is driving on the motec. Then it's enjoying time for a couple of weeks then its take apart time again and fit the fbm tb and machined plenum.
Some pics of the diff and drive shafts

That's about it for now.
