Well spent another saturday on the golf with new parts coming fitted the new gaz suspention.
Which i must say is so easy and quick to change.

The car now sits alot nicer

The braided hoses where a bit of a pain at the back of the rear beam but rest where fine.

Afew other issues also sorted leveled the clutch pedal with the brake also got the rose jointed gearshift working better. And fitted a towing eye to the front.

That's looking great Mike. I like the lift support bars on your forklift :)

Glad they're easy enough to fit; you'll be doing some more next weekend.......anyway, where's the detailed write up on the handling virtues? I thought you'd have been out in it by now :D

Looks like we have a similar set of mods on the list too. That a Rally Designs tow hook? Welded or bolted?

latested up date four branch manifold turnned up from flee bay stainless steel seems a nice well made manifold.
Will see how it fits.
Image
The original manifold on the golf had a nasty death crack going through it.

Was a easy job to change once the top manifold was removed the only problem i came across was where i had a joint welded to the manifold they have welded it on at a slight up angle.
So with the pipe being straight to the next box it didn't fit very well so i had to cut and weld the pipe into a sort of s shape it sort of work's but not happy with it.

So going to try a flexi centre pipe so it can follow more of a natural shape.
Image
The thing i did find was when i removed the inlet manifold the gasket was way to small for the ports. So took the dremal to the gasket to open it up as you can see by the pics the one on the left is one opened up to the right size, they where 5mm smaller than the hole.

Also fitted the G60 280 discs and carriers

sump off.

Next was to cut out the old anti rollbar from the rear subframe so i could fit the new one.
Once it was ground away it could be punched out

roll bar ground away

now removed ready for welding up the hole.
