Pablo, It'd look like a rally car prepped for ice (except theyre wire wheels ).

Ok, set number 1 mechanic to work removing the wheels:

Then tried on the Ultralight Nurburgrings 18" and 9.5" Rear ET30 9" Front ET 35.

Very kindly lent by a mate of Toms (ValoSunnyGTI), who has a rather rude looking S14a, cheers mate!

and again with the arches:

Rest of the pics here: http://picasaweb.google.com/maff667/Whe ... xtensions#

(excuse the camera phone pics forgot to charge the EOS's battery after snet)

So what do i know now.

Well

1)18s are too big, I think.

2)ET30/5 Aint going to cut it, i coulld happily run 20mm and possibly 30mm spacers with those wheels.

3)ultralight should be had up under the trades descriptions act, "light" my arse.

so options.

1)Stick with the R32 GTR wheels and go 20 to 30mm Spacers & two new tyres
2)Buy a set of Rota Torques in ET0 to 12 17" and possibly 4 new tyres.

Thoughts?

Remind me why you want 17's?

If you need them for big brakes, but something like the ATS ones if you can run to them as they are so much lighter. If you are buying the wheels for looks, swallow your pride and put the GTR ones on. Even with the cost of the spacers, you'll be quids in.

I must admit I do like the phat look and the ultralites do suit the car very well! ...

I know they're not too practical but the underwidth tyres stretched over a set of ultra lites with a massive rear camber :) - or a nice set of Volk CE28n's, TE37's ... I'm sure you can get some rather good ones in the range sold by gofasterspares
