Read it again noob...

"Different to any normal catch can as it is fully baffled and has a proper VTA and oil return." :-D
the way i see it working:

oil vapour comes in via the top 3 inlets
oil is separated and collects at the bottom
air is collected in there and forces the oil out of the can
the oil has 2 outlets routes:
1) a pressurised sump, or
2) a non pressurised catch can by the battery

I'd say the oil was forced down to the secondary can along with the air.

Surely the VTA breather needs to be at the very top ??

Nah, you got it all wrong fella.

There is a complete wall internally between the drain and VTA. Its fully closed except at the top and bottom by about 5mm at each end. The VTA has a pip that goes almost to the top behind the baffle so there is almost no way the oil can escape down it.

Its a Group A cosworth breather... they work fantastically well mate.. trust :D

If the sump were pressurised, your catch can would back-fill with oil and empty the sump.

A pressurised sump?

Wouldnt we have a nice dipstick tube fountain on a somewhat regular basis? :D

Id of thought that was obvious...

I did say in the first sentance that it was fully baffled and had a proper VTA and return.

Well im just in guys.

Finally finished the runners today, i got the seat properly bolted in tonight.

Im absolutely stoked with the results. The runners fitted perfectly, opperated perfectly. The driving position is perfect, everything is absolutely bang on. Im so chuffed with the results. Especially after it had been such a frustrating task to get it to fit the way i wanted it to.

The view from outside the car looks mental, the car looks like a propper tool now and really makes the interior look focused. Ive set the seat approx 1" lower than stock and the height is perfect for me, pedals are good and steering wheel is just right too.

I went out for a quick drive just to see how it feels... all i can say is amazing. I mean it when i say you literally do not move at all once in it. The car feels so much more alive and you can feel so much more through the chassis.

Had to come back as i needed to knock one out lol :-D

The view is what really bothered me when i first purchased the seat. But im really happy to say that i have lost almost now field of vision i previously had, mirrrors, blindspots and b pillars are all in view when required.

Heres a few snaps taken on my fone of the mounts i made. Theyre fully reinforced modified OEM mounts.. i hope i have made it look as factory as possible.

Once again, sorry for the naff pics.

Thought some of you guys might like to see this.

This is to mount my new battery and the resulting saved space will be replaced with a new additional secondary oil catch tank.

The clamp is made from Macralon, please ignore the stumpy studs. Theyre just there for a measure up :D

Looking good Frayz. I've had one of those batteries for a couple of years now and it's first rate. Only problem is, the alarm system on mine runs the battery flat if the car's not used for a few days. I always disconnect it if I know it's not going to be used and it'll last months without problems.

Would like to make up a small charging loom so i can just leave it on a battery conditioner when the cars not in use mate.

I have a mate that did thid and had a charging jack mounted out of sight under the front number plate :D
