The next job is to tape the door shut as tight as possible to support it when the old hinges come off. So nothing is now supporting the door apart from the tape and the lock.

The old hinges are taken off and the door hopefully stays put. The next job is the worse bit and thats to flatten the pillar to wich the hines are installed. This is done with a precision hammer ouch, not nice to watch but not too drastic. Then the hinges are bolted on to the door itself and then to the chasis.

As you can see the hinges can be adjusted with the slots.

Now the wires can be either extended or the slack taken up to within the door cards and chasis. Then the rams are fitted to the hinge to suport the door on it`s travels.

all thats left is to operate the doors a few times so it settles and tighten everything up. The hinge is adjustable for up and down movement as well as side ways. So now its all line up the wings can go back on and here is the outcome.

Now I turned my attention to the engine. Not on performance but for some looks. So I saw an advert for on Ebay for soemm polished cam covers, inlet pipe and plenum chamber. So I sent off my old gear and received these nice shiny ones instead.
