Good choice mate, very nice cars to drive although I would agree that they are bit slow :D

I had a very early, '99 Sport, with the right tyres it was great. Sprinted it at North Weald and Curborough a few times and did a couple of track days.

Look at you going all sensible (well almost :D)

Looks like a cracking car mate. Much more appropriate to be rocking up to your appointments in.
I may be getting older but I REFUSE to grow up :D

What were the right tyres then? The ones that are on there are.........er, a bit, er.......shite.

Been out for a proper drive tonight and a few observations

A) Woohoo; headlights!! :hurray:
B) Dashboard reflection like having a painted white dashboard. Can you say 'flocked' :D
C) Really nice exhaust note and the engine is so smooth, I'm not sure it has pistons. Maybe it's had a rotary swap? :)
D) It's pretty much Imperial Blue. Under lights like the those used at the petrol stations, it's a much brighter blue. Chuffed with that.

See what a really decent paint cleaner and wax does for that finish mate.
Glad you're enjoying the new found civility. Should be a nicely balanced car, with enough handling to enjoy without spoiling a decent ride for 8/10 journeys.
Fancied one of those for ages but that is a bargain compared to most of the "Ilford Massive" spec ones round here.

Very civilized, Mr Staples! Looks great as a daily driver. If they were a touch smaller I would have tried persuading Lucy along those lines instead of the Alfa 147 2.0 (which has now done 8k miles in 7 months with perfect reliability, touch wood!!)
