I'm not saying this to take the piss, but the cost people charge for planning/building regs drawings are a joke. I drew my own and I will glady help others for a much smaller fee ;)

I remember the days getting out of the ground :D....

150mm thick concrete base there was a layer of insulation put in the base so in future if we wanted to join it onto the house we will not have to dig up the base.

The main costs were in the drawings for the house and the engineers report due to steels that we need and the fact we had 2 disussed cess pits in the garden!!

I wish I had had a shallow pit done in mine
I recon it would be pretty cheap at time of build?

Problem with pits is they fill with water!! I have heard some real nightmares so decided against one.

Pretty sure building control won't like you putting a pit in either if they are involved. Chances are with a garage on it's own they won't be around anyway :)

As said though, they can be a pain in the arse, just get a pillar ramp instead :D

Building work on hold due to my builder having a little mishap and fractuing his skull!!

He fell off a ladder backwards only about 4 foot up but landed on concrete!!
